About Us
Waterproofing specialists you can trust
Gary Maxwell has worked in the waterproofing industry for 40 years. He has been a licensed waterproofing contractor in both New South Wales and Queensland, and over that time he has worked as an applicator, a business owner and a store owner. Few people in the industry have seen waterproofing from as many sides.
Hands-on experience
Gary spent more than 25 years working on site as an applicator. In that time he applied liquid, sheet and cementitious membranes, along with epoxies and sealants, on everything from residential jobs to major commercial and landmark projects. He knows how each product performs in practice, not only on paper, and that experience is behind the advice you get in store.
Landmark projects
Over his career Gary has worked on some of Australia's best-known buildings, including:
- New Parliament House, Canberra
- World Square, Sydney
- The Sydney Opera House shell refurbishment
He has also worked as a contractor for many of the country's major builders, including John Holland, Concrete Constructions, Multiplex, Hutchinson Builders and Meriton Apartments.
From applicator to store owner
Before taking over The Waterproofing Warehouse on the Gold Coast, Gary owned and ran The Waterproofing Warehouse at Acacia Ridge for seven years. Today he brings that same knowledge to builders, tradespeople and homeowners across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW.
