MC-2010MN comes packaged in 25 metre rolls and can be easily applied
in construction / cold joints as shown here and in the following
photos. Check MC-2010MN data sheet for
minimum requirements. (Concrete coverage, wall/slab thickness
and wall height)
Placing initial strip of MC-2010MN in the centre of the footing.
Caution must be taken here to avoid leaving the
MC-2010MN too close to the interior or exterior of the substrate.
This scenario could cause the MC-2010MN to blow the concrete out
due to swelling pressure if it comes in contact with water.
To join two strips of MC-2010MN at a corner, butt them as shown
here and place a bead of P-201 at the joint to ensure a tight seal.
The
connection should appear something like this after application of
P-201.
The best method
of joining two strips of MC-2010MN is to overlap as shown here,
using a small bead of P-201 in the area of overlap.
P-201
can be used in combination with MC-2010MN to seal around unusually
shaped areas such as the one shown here.
The yellow stain surrounding the concrete is a contact adhesive(Bostik
1222) which adheres the Adeka MC-2010MN onto all porous substrates. Waterproofing Warehouse keeps Bostik 1222
in stock in 4 Litre packaging.
Place
a small bead of P-201 under MC-2010MN when the concrete surface
is particularly rough or uneven.
Transition
from smooth to rough concrete can be accommodated by using MC-2010MN
and P-201 in combination as shown here.
